01About Me
Hello! I am Tao Xie (谢涛), a final-year undergraduate in the Outstanding Engineer Class of Automation at Guangdong University of Technology. I am advised by Prof. Yiqun Zhang and conduct research in the SIGMTA group at the OMG Lab. I also work closely with Prof. Yiu-ming Cheung through research collaboration and academic exchange.
My research focuses on interpretable sequence modeling and feature interaction, with time series as the primary setting. I study how to capture complex temporal dependencies and cross-variable relations while keeping model decisions reliable and understandable, with applications to early risk prediction, anomaly detection, and decision support in medicine and industry. I have first/co-first-author papers at KDD, IEEE BIBM, and PRICAI, and have also participated in several national- and provincial-level undergraduate research and innovation projects.
Outside of research, I enjoy playing basketball and listening to music.
